DELAWARE'S VOICE FOR RAIL PASSENGERS
WELCOME TO DELMARVA RAIL PASSENGERS ASSOCIATION
Delmarva Rail Passengers Association, founded in 1987, advocates
improved and expanded rail passenger service in the First State.
DRPA seeks your involvement and support on behalf of rail passengers
in the First State.
Delaware benefits from frequent passenger rail service. Amtrak
trains connect Wilmington and Newark with major locations within the
Mid-Atlantic region. The Northeast Corridor is the busiest railroad
thoroughfare in the nation. Regional commuter service is provided by
SEPTA that connects Newark, Wilmington and Claymont to Philadelphia
and to the Authority’s other rail lines.
The Delaware Department of Transportation, and the Delaware Transit
Corporation, fund SEPTA services in Delaware as well as make other
in rail investments, currently for new train stations in Newark and
Claymont.
